Now for an absolute “Praise Report.” I developed a malady that is a catch-all term used by Doctors called ‘Peripheral Neuropathy’ in the 90’s. It is a slow degeneration of the nerves, i.e. feeling in my feet and had progressed from my toes in each foot to the mid-calf area. It is primarily found in people with diabetes or from a family history of same. I have neither. I have long paid close attention to possible cures and medication procedures, even going to Houston when we were still living in Liberty to get shots of Vitamin B in my back, legs, and feet. Obviously, the concern is loss of enough circulation to require surgery of some extent. As another aside, I had developed a slight Upper Left Atrium Heart Chamber fibrillation after all the stress caused by the totally and completely false accusations brought against me as Mayor. I gave all that to the Lord years ago and really do not ponder it or think about it at all. The reason I bring it up now is to explain that I have been taking Coumadin as a blood thinner for about 6 years. It was a Bayer Aspirin prior to that. Anyway, I have to go by my Dr.’s Lab once a month to check my Pro-Time or in lay terms, check the thickness and coagulation of my blood. That takes just a few seconds and a pin prick on the end of my finger. I have never had a dosage control problem or reaction.

I have participated in healing events at our Church (Christ Episcopal Church of SA <www.cecsa.org/> on web) in the past and felt some tingling. The Rev. Jack and Anna Marie Sheffield along with members of Christ Episcopal Church and Alamo Heights United Methodist Church started a healing prayer ministry called Christ Healing Center.  Currently they are meeting twice a week. I went to that group on the afternoon of April 5, 2006, was anointed and prayed for by those present in that room.  I almost immediately felt a tingling in my legs and feet. The next morning I went by the Dr.’s lab on the way to Burnett, TX, on business. The Nurse sort of rolled her eyes at me and asked what different medicine or other pill I had been taking since my last visit. She stated that my blood was 6½ times too thin and I needed to stop the coumadin. She took additional blood to send to a lab to get another reading(It came back the next day at over 4½+ times too thin) I did not think about it really since I just figured the tester was on the fritz.

The next morning, I could feel areas of touching that had been completely dead to touch (Confirmed over several years by specialist Doctors) the day before. I started thinking about how our bodies carry oxygen, antibodies, etc to the rest of our bodies. I realized it is through our blood stream. I had already started thinking about it before I heard from the lab about my Pro-Time(4½+). I didn’t say anything except in Prayer before letting several days pass. I returned to the Ministries for additional prayers on the 18th and the 26th of this month. I can now feel carpet pile even through my socks, my feet stay warm, I can feel cool tile, I can move my toes independently, and I can tell if anyone is touching the bottom of my feet anywhere and it seems as though my feet and legs are getting better. It is a Miracle but not really. He has told us that “Whenever 2 or 3 are gathered together in His Name, He will be there also”. Our Lord tells us many times to “ask, and ye shall receive”.
